Original Japanese B5-size movie flyer for the 1962 science fiction disaster film Gorath (妖星ゴラス / Yōsei Gorasu), produced by Toho.

Directed by Ishirō Honda with special effects by Eiji Tsuburaya, the film is a large-scale tokusatsu production combining science fiction spectacle with global disaster themes.

The story follows humanity’s urgent response to a catastrophic threat: a massive rogue white dwarf star named Gorath on a collision course with Earth. In a bold and imaginative solution, scientists undertake an enormous engineering project to shift the Earth’s orbit using giant rocket boosters constructed in Antarctica.

The film features a strong cast including Ryō Ikebe, Yumi Shirakawa, Akira Kubo, Kumi Mizuno, and Takashi Shimura.

A notable visual element is Maguma, the giant walrus-like kaiju awakened during the Antarctic construction effort, often featured prominently in promotional artwork. The poster’s dramatic tagline emphasizes the impending planetary crisis, reflecting the bold, urgent tone typical of early 1960s science fiction cinema.

Presented in a new B5 frame, this original flyer is ready for display and represents a strong collectible for fans of Toho productions, kaiju films, and classic Japanese sci-fi memorabilia.
